Hamstring Stretch

DESCRIPTION

Stretching not only improves flexibility but relieves the tension and stiffness, and promotes muscle recovery. With one leg extended and the other tucked in, reach forward at the hips. Take a deep breath out and old the stretch. You might feel the muscles release slightly so you can extend a little bit more.


 

WANT TO MAKE IT HARDER OR EASIER?

Hamstrings can become very tight so it’s not unusual for people to not be able to touch their toes. Just place your hands on your shin if this is the case.

 

REMEMBER

"You will definitely feel the hamstring stretch but it shouldn't be overly uncomfortable. Listen to your body and when in doubt, cease the stretch if it becomes too painful." - Lindy
