Begin with your feet and knees together. Shift your weight on to the balancing leg and lift the other leg up placing the sole of your foot on the opposite leg either just above or just below the knee. Open your hips so that your knee is pointed outwards.

Not to place too much press on the balancing legs' knee. The sole of the foot should be just above or just below the knee. And breathe!
